PEACOCK Gramophone Needle Tin (NOS)

The PEACOCK gramophone needle tins are some of the most recognisable from Japan.   It was a brand that ran for many years and the tins have many slight variations.   My guess is they ran from the 1920's to about the 1940's.   This is one of the later versions and is still factory sealed.  Of all the Peacock tins it is the only version that has a 'portrait' image rather than a 'landscape' one.  The tin is in almost new condition as you can see in the photographs.

The tin measures 26mm (w) 76mm (h) and 10mm (d).
