  • URSALA gramophone needle tin.   This is the first of these tins i have been able to offer for sale on this site.  The image to the lid is a representation of the world famous Cologne Cathedral.  The Cologne Cathedral was the tallest building in the world between 1880 and 1884. It was preceded by the Rouen Cathedral and succeeded by the Washington Monument and the Eiffel Tower.  Throughout WW2 it has hiit by a total of 14 bombs but the building did not fall. It is believed that the Cathedral was not completely destroyed because it served as an easily recognizable landmark for pilots.

A rare tin with an interesting subject.  This one has some rust to the rear but is in good overall condtion as can be seen in the photographs.  It measures 66mm (w) 47mm (h) and 15mm (d).  The shape of this tin was a common shape for other German manufacturers but there is no markings on this tin to indicate where it was made.
