ZEPPELIN Series VI Gramophone Needle Tin - 1908

In the early 1900's the invention of Zeppelin airships fascinated the world. Tins of that time recorded these amazing air craft and today are some of the most sought after tins by collectors.   In 1908 a series of 8 gramophone needle tins were issued to commemorate the first 24 hour trial flight of the LZ4 Zeppelin which ended when the air ship crashed and burned on 6th August.  To collect the whole series of these tins is a dream held by many collectors around the world.  This is the 6th tin issued in the series (VI) and shows the Zeppelin in flight over Mainz, Germany.  

There is some light rusting to the bottom edge of the picture so please examine the close up photos provided carefully.

We are also prepared to accept lay-by payments.  Please discuss this option with us before making your purchase.   To be eligible for our lay-by payment option the value of goods purchased needs to be $100 or more.  A minimum payment of $50 is required as a deposit.  Subsequent periodic payments need to be at least 25% of the purchase price and made with PayPal.  If any part payment is not made within 14 days of the due date the sale will be cancelled and 50% of the total payments already made will be refunded.  All other terms in relation to payments need to be agreed before any transaction commences.   Please contact us if you wish to use this sale option.
